Residency At Lanternhouse International

On the 16th of Febuary 2008 i started a residency at the Lanternhouse International in Ulverston Cumbria with Folly to further develop the Auto Confessional Network.

On starting the project for the first time since April 2007 i realised that most of the original confessional sites that fed the project had been taken down. Most of the first Saturday was spent familarising with the Lanternhouse surrounding and beginning to find a range of new online confessional sites. I was amazed to find just how many there are now.

Began to look at the existing code and make a number of small sketch patches that trawl these newly available websites. They returned some very diverse results.

29/02/08

Aquired a second hand Apple Powerbook G4 on ebay for the project to accompany the one without an attached screen that i have been using for the last two years. Made improvements to the sketch patches with the possibility of using them as abstractions later on in the project. The challenge will be to make architecture retractable or adaptable due to the nature of some of these websites that they can be taken down at a moments notice.
